5 Steps to Divorcing a Narcissist

  1. Prepare yourself emotionally and mentally. Divorcing a narcissist can be a long and draining process, so it's important to make sure you have the emotional and mental strength to get through it.

  2. Get organized. Make sure you have a good understanding of your finances, keep detailed records of any interactions with your spouse, and create a list of all the assets you both have.

  3. Have a plan. You need to figure out what you want from the divorce and have a plan in place to achieve it. This could include hiring a lawyer, mediator, or financial expert to help you.

  4. Stay calm. Dealing with a narcissist can be difficult, so it's important to try and stay calm and not let your emotions get the better of you.

  5. Seek help. It's important to have a support system in place to help you through the divorce process. This could include friends, family, a counselor, or a support group for those divorcing a narcissist.
